A 20 years old handicapped Sanaullah belongs to the earth quake hit area, Balakot. He passed his matriculation examination but unable to continue his studies due to poverty. However, after some time he got to know about the free technical course offered by TUSDEC EU TVET Support Programme in Skill Development Center, Balakot, which became a ray of hope for him. After completion of his training course, he got interest free micro finance loan from AKHUWAT, a micro finance institute with support of TUSDEC. He bought tools required for False Ceiling work and started working as a Freelancer.
“I felt helpless, I thought I will never be able to fulfill my dream of getting education and to achieve a respectable status in society because of our financial constraints. I was completely hopeless and unemployed. After some time I got to know about the free technical course offered by TUSDEC EU TVET Support Programme in Skill Development Center, Balakot, which became a ray of hope for me as I am the only one son of my parents having three sisters. My father was a labor and was unable to fulfill our financial needs. So I started my journey by getting admission in the False Ceiling trade. It was market oriented and demand driven, as due to earth quake here the construction work is done at large scale”.
