An MoU has been signed between TUSDEC and UET Peshawar to enhance the incorporation of the role of academia for the evaluation and improvement of the current industrial scenario with various initiatives of technology sophistication and skill base development. Both organizations will pool their resources and capacities to identify the areas of margin among the strategic industrial clusters of Pakistan and the turf of technical skill development which would be ameliorated further through meticulous initiatives of technology transfer. Joint sector studies and researches would be conducted to aid the industry in amplifying its productivity and competitiveness to gain grounds specifically in export markets. Both organizations will also collaborate in conducting technology relevant sectoral mapping, will also envisage pertinent interventions for the upgradation of polytechnic institutes in the country and specifically in KP. TUSDEC is already implementing large scale initiatives of technology transfer and skill dissemination in KP and FATA and is contemplating to venture into further programmes with kindred objectives. Effective liaison between the industry and academia sets the concrete basis for sustainable economic growth through the formulation of a knowledge based economy. The company is devising various interventions of technology and skill development for key industrial sectors where each project is reared by a factious sector study, hence the MoU is deemed to aid the company in seamless design and implementation of further programmes.
