20 Acres of land was allotted to Engro Foundation in Rakh Ehsanpur, Muzaffargarh for the construction of a new village for flood thrown population under the Punjab Model Village Program by the Punjab Government. Engro Foundation coinciding with FDO – Farmers Development Organization decided to implement Construction Skill Training – CST program for the inhabitants of Model Village in order to arrange for the livelihood means for them. Based on its considerable experience of vocational trainings, TUSDEC was engaged by Engro Foundation and FDO in order to impart the Construction Skill Trainings to the flood affected population in Rakh Ehsanpur.
The first training batch with 50 participants has recently graduated after completing a 3 months course under Construction Skills Training- CST program. A graduation ceremony was held at the Engro Model Village in Rakh Ehsanpur where certificates were distributed to the passing out candidates. Tool kits were also provided free of cost to the graduates so helping them jump start their careers and earn a livelihood utilizing their learned skill sets. Notable dignitaries from all the partner organizations namely Engro Foundation, FDO and TUSDEC were present at the ceremony. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Tahir Jawaid, Vice President, Engro Corporation Limited praised TUSDEC's efforts in making the program a successful pursuit and showed keen interest in replicating the program in other flood affected areas
