TUSDEC – Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company has been actively participating in the sustainable rehabilitation of flood and earth quake displaced population (IDPs). After the flash flooding of 2011, TUSDEC disbursed employable skills to the flood affectees in RakhEhsanpur and Daira Din Panah, near Kotaddu, District Muzaffargarh of Southern Punjab. The short technical training course was carried out in collaboration with Engro Foundation and FDO – Farmers Development Organization.Engro Foundation is a non-profit organization, CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility face of Engro Corp, striving for the proliferation of sustainable societies in which people have access to choices and opportunities for development. FDO is also a non-profit entity with a mission to develop and strengthen the disadvantaged segments of society through social mobilization and capacity building.

TUSDEC implemented the course of Construction Skills in RakhEhsanpur, where 20 acres of land was allotted to Engro Foundation to develop a new village for flood displaced community under the Punjab Model Village Program by Government of Punjab. The course enabled the local folks to construct their own homes as well as for their attached community while attaining a sustainable means for livelihood generation.
