Finite Element Analysis is a powerful technique for numerical solution of complex Engineering problems in structural Mechanics. This course provides the basic theoretical and practical knowledge (without unnecessary mathematic detail) to allow an engineer to competently perform finite element analysis for Structural and Thermal problems (Structural Analysis include static analysis, transient and vibrational analysis). The course emphasizes theory only to the extent necessary for the user to understand the implications of FEA. It is not meant to produce finite element theorists, but rather a class of responsible users.

Course coverage:

  • Introduction to FEA using ANSYS
  • Stress Analysis (Static vs. Dynamic)
  • Analysis Type
  • Importing Geometry from CAD packages
  • Modeling Considerations
  • Meshing (free meshing vs. map meshing)
  • APDL Basics
  • Loading and Solution
  • Post Processing

Participant Profile:

This course is designed for Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineers, Mechanical Structural Designers, Structural Stress Analysts, Scientists, diploma holders who are already working in FEA industry. Fresh engineering graduates or all those students who want to enhance their Skills in FEA may also apply for this course.

Instructor Profile:
A team of experienced and highly qualified professionals having years of Experience in Finite Element Analysis will conduct this course.

Methodology:
The course will be delivered through lectures, multimedia presentations, videos and hands-on practice on modern CAD/CAM specific computers.

Learning Outcome:

Participant will be able to perform static linear stress analysis which is very much helpful in designing of mechanical components/structure/machinery etc. They will also be able to analyze products for their performance by evaluating structural response of products.
