The industry in Pakistan being an energy intensive sector is vulnerable to high rate of energy losses across various production processes resulting in higher energy bills and productivity losses. This problem has significant financial impact on the industrial sector and severely affects the competitiveness in export markets. The energy cost as a share of total production cost ranges from 20% to 50% in different industrial sectors. This course is designed to train the industry professionals on Conducting Energy Audits, Implementing Energy Management System and Gap Analysis for Energy Saving with minimum investment.

Trainer:
Mr. Salman Butt has worked on various on International and National Cooperation Projects on Industrial development for process optimization and resource conservation, with focus on energy efficiency, productivity improvement, quality management (through Lean Six Sigma), improving environment, health & safety (EHS) performance, chemical management and water efficiency.Mr. Salman is a Certified Lead Auditor of ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a PREMAnet® (Germany) Certified Master Trainer on Good Housekeeping (GHK) and Resource-Efficient Management of Chemicals (ReMC).

Methodology:
The course includes real case studies from Pakistani industry. The course will be delivered on Experiential Learning Methodology and thus will include many group activities and experience sharing sessions.

Learning Outcome:
After the completion of these training, participants will be able to develop energy audit plans, conduct basic energy audit, implement energy management system, and develop improvement plans for their respective organizations.
